History of windscreen wipers: J H Apjohn 1903. Trying to find out whether this man is my g.g.grandfather James Henry Apjohn (Irish, civil engineer, who had retired in 1902 and was busy back in London doing bits and pieces, including work on gears which was later patented. He was a member of the Institute of Civil Engineers. Despite ages on Google, I have never been able to find out who put the fact up that one of the original windscreen wipers - two vertical brushes - was down to J H Apjohn - or who he was. Any idea ?
